EPLO Director, Prof. Spyridon Flogaitis, visited Prague for the purpose of discussing with government officials the prospect of the Czech Republic joining the EPLO as a new member state, on the occasion of the official visit of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias, to the Czech Republic. Specifically, the Director held meetings with the Deputy Minister of Justice and the Deputy Minister of Interior responsible for European Affairs and the Deputy Director of the South East Europe Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to discuss all aspects involving the Czech Republic’s potential membership in the EPLO, including the obligations that the Czech Republic would have to assume towards the EPLO. The visit was supported by D1 Directorate for the UN & International Organizations and Conferences of the D1 and B8 Directorates of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was organized by the Greek Embassy in the Czech Republic. |
